I don't even know how I managed to stumble upon your site but I'm glad I did. Absolutely brilliant and now stored in my favourites list...

My only regret about your site is that I did not discover it years ago!! This is what collating nostalgia is all about. A fantastic achievement - so many memories of my childhood brought back again in a matter of seconds - you cannot buy that sort of response!!
So much of 2010 will now be spent by me, revisiting your masterpiece. A job very well done.
Diolch yn fawr - thank you!

I haven't laughed this much for a long time and it brought back
so many memories. Thank you so very much!

I remember the radio so well from my childhood. We didn't have Telly in those days. What a site you've got here. It's bookmarked and will be visited again and again.
I tried to describe the Goons to my granddaughter. She hadn't even heard of Monty Python!
Thanks for these memories.
Hugs.

Thanks for putting this site together. Both the media, internet and my dad (b.1943) has helped me tremenderously to imagine what life in Modesto, CA in the 1950s was like but obviously not everyone, not even my own Danish mother (b.1946), lived in suburban California. You've given me a good insight into what life was like for people directly affected by the war in the post war time. Sure lots of books have been written. The internet
is just easier to access and your site is very easy to navigate

Great stuff. I grew up on the Isle of Wight. I'd forgotten a lot of what you've managed to dig up. The only things missing are Biggles, the Busby Babes and the cards in PG Tips!
