Hopping in Kent

Hopping.

Before we go on, I think an explanation would be appropriate. For all of you looking at this in the colonies, hopping does not involve a bunch of Brits frantically moving about on one leg... ...... Hopping is the term used for the picking of the Hop. Hops are that strange, vine, type plant. That is used for the making of beer. Or at least used to be. Today beer is made in a test tube.

Sadly there are very few hop fields left in Kent. One of the few is the famous Beltring Hop Farm, near Paddock Wood. Even this is a museum.
