Not a great time to be a girl. Before 'Political
Correctness' and 'Equal Opportunities', Girls had a pretty rough time.
For a start girls were not allowed into space because they screamed a
lot. Apart from Annie Oakley and Calamity Jane girls did not make very
good cowboys. Girls would learn how to be wives and mothers. So rough
games were out. Most of their toys were scaled down versions of Mothers
stuff, so that by the time they were old enough they would be able to
cook and clean.

Dare we could always rely on someone's little sister to patch us up. Today
no toy nurses uniforms and look what has happened to the National Health
Service!!
