After a while they just gave up and banned him completely. He carried on around the music halls until they too finished.

would stay in to listen to his show. On the night he was on, chip shops would
not bother to open until it was finished. A sad man in real life, he tried
his hand at making films, but they they did not bring him the success he
craved for. He ended his life alone in Australia.
