The Light Programme.

Comedy was not the only thing the Light Programme was good at, serials were also an integral part of the day. 'Mrs Dales Diary', 'The Daring Dexters', 'Adventure Unlimited', 'Riders Of The Range', 'Journey In To Space', 'The Archers' and 'P.C. 49', not forgetting our hero 'Dick Barton'. There was also the music shows, 'Family Favourites', 'Housewives Choice', 'Music While You Work' and Uncle Mac with Childrens Favourites, to name but a few. Sandy Macpherson (below right) was in charge of the BBC Theatre Organ.
