The youth of '54 were coming out of their shell. With more goods
in the shops and money in their pockets the sky was the limit.

Next came the clothes. Drape jacket, drain pipe
trowsers and crepe soled 'Brothel Creepers'.....

First the hair. Hairdresser (barber) Mr. Rose claimed
he invented the quiff. He was also responsible for many an argument
at home. "I thought you were getting your hair cut"? "I
have". "Was his scissors blunt"? etc.

...then down to the 'Embassy Ballrooms' to stand
around the edges, that is until the last dance.
