By the fifties the
British film industry was in full swing. The only problem was our
films tended to be rather down beat and realistic. The public wanted
to see the brighter side of life. With all of the austerity of post
war England the pictures was our escape route to un-reality. This
page pays homage to the producers and directors of the Great British
Film Industry.
