With all of the
Millions of pounds spent on those Hollywood Epics, what did the
British film industry come up with? "The Titfield Thunderbolt".
A film about an antique train. Much the same as the film about the
antique car or the antique steam engine.
The local vicar (George Relph) and a picture
of the star of the film "The Titfield Thunderbolt".
Local Millionaire (Stanley Holloway) and
Local Poacher and Railway worker (Hugh Griffith) arrested
after trying to steal the Thunder Bolt. The plot really
gets silly now.
This is where the plot gets silly. The
train runs on time!!!!! Mind you the train was driven by
the vicar and the coal was shoveled by the Bishop. Maybe
our rail companies today should adopt the same practice.
