During the 50's Britain was a leading
manufacturer of motor bikes. One of the best was the Vincent.
Top riders were winning top prizes on top bikes. The roads
were still relatively clear. The joy of the open road, bikers
would travel miles to the Greasy Spoon Cafe of the day. One
of the more famous was Johnson's at the top of Death Hill
(A20) near Brands Hatch in Kent. It had the best cup of tea
in the south.
