The fifties woman had to be a magician
in the kitchen. Many food items were still on ration. To feed her
family she would have to cook things that would be banned today
as being unhealthy. It is a wonder that we survived as a nation.
A well stocked kitchen cabinet was essential.

Or you could use proper shelfs and put the peg
board back in the shed.
Now you have a tidy kitchen and all the bits and bobs hung
on peg board. It is now time to take your ration book to the butcher,
the baker and whoever. Put on you best flirting frock and see what
