Cabbage Hot
Pot
Boil a cabbage, drain it well and slice it up. At the same time
par-boil 1lb of sliced potatoes and fry 2 onions in a little dripping
or margarine until they are soft but not browned.
Now grease your hot pot and put into it layers of cabbage onion
and potato, seasoning as you go, ending with potato
Put on the lid, and cook in the oven until the potatoes are
done, taking off the lid for the last few minutes to brown the top.
It should be moist enough without liquid, but a little stock
can be added if it looks too dry.
